About Us

Welcome to our wedding planning page!  Aaron and I met in the summer of 2005 and ran into each other again in summer of 2007.  We dated long distance for six months (New Jersey to Colorado) and then I moved to Colorado on New Year's Eve of that year. He proposed on September 4, 2008. We are getting married May 21, 2010. I love vintage things and Aaron is very laid back so we are getting married outside of a barn in a gazebo and having the reception inside. Our colors are orange and blue with hints of ivory and gold. Please take credit for those pictures that I have taken from websites! The picture to the left is by Heather Lilly (HLC concepts) as well as picture with the black frame.

These four photos were taken by our wedding photographer Scott Cejka. We love him and can't wait to see what he does for our wedding.

Inspiration

This is a basic idea of our colors and my inspiration.  The pickles are what we are doing for favors (homemade!) in mason jars with tags that are tied onto the jars with ribbon that say "Thank You for celebrating with us. Aaron and Jenna 5.21.2010."

Venue

 

We are getting married at a Barn that was built in 2008.  It is beautiful and rustic inside with touches from the old barn that they created it from.  The ceiling is timber frame and the lights are very vintage looking with glass enclosures.  The pictures below are from Leslie:)

Hair Ideas

I think I like the wavy look with a side ponytail with waves and maybe a braid.

Wedding Party Attire

The Bridesmaids are wearing the orange (sweet canteloupe) Sophia Silk Tricotine short dress by J.Crew.

Bridemaids shoes from Macy's:

 The Flower girls are wearing the ivory dresses from J.Crew.

The flower girls will wear gold thong sandals, the same sheen as the Bridesmaids.

The groomsmen will wear orange ties and vests and Aaron will wear blue to match my shoes!

Decorations

What our tables will look like (left and right). The empty mason jars will be filled with the bridesmaids bouquets since those birdcages are smaller.

The birdcage below is what we will use for our cards with a black bird I found.

These wine cork place card holders go for $12 for 8. My family drinks a lot of wine so we saved over a hundred and will use them as escort cards!  I used a sharp kitchen knife (not serrated) to cut the bottoms off:)

Paper

We sent these save-the-dates on 8/31/09. I know they don't go with our color scheme but I love them!

 Our invitations are below. They were ordered on 10/24/09.

We plan on doing something similar to the drink menu below for either side of the bar. I have a rustic white frame that is perfect.

Here is our guest book, made with the fabric for our table runners and the tops of the favors.

Flowers

Peonies!! We will have white flowers. Then we will have blue ribbon for the girls and orange ribbon on mine.
